Here’s me, contemplating the past.

Many of us have a critical inner voice that tells us how not-enough we are. I know that voice well; after all, criticism may as well have been my parents’ love language. I’m also familiar with the ongoing work it takes to turn that inner voice into one of compassion, respect, and acceptance. My approach to therapy is in-depth, humanistic, and often existential, identifying how we get in our own way and what residual traumas we’ve carried with us from our past, and finding out what we want from ourselves.

I’m Catherine. I started my therapy private practice online during the COVID pandemic. Prior to that, I trained for four years at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, a community mental health agency that specialized in psychodynamic therapy. I obtained my M.S. in Counseling Psychology at Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles, and my B.S. in Psychology from UCLA.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, trying out new restaurants, and making lists of work-appropriate hobbies.
